The Student Life and Customs series documents many aspects of student life from living conditions (19th century boarding rooms to modern dormitories) to social organizations, literary and musical societies, honorary societies, fraternities and sororities and intercollegiate and recreational sports. The series is organized largely around specific student organizations or activities. A General subseries, organized chronologically, includes images not tied to specific organizations or events. The organizational photos often include group photos, shots of an office or house, and special activities.
