Governance Files
The Governance Files series (6 linear feet, 1984-1994), brings together files of advisory committees and briefing material compiled for executive officers and Regents. Arranged chronologically, the briefings provide a glimpse of the changing nature of the Medical Center through statistics, charts, and graphs detailing research space, expenditures, revenue, enrollment, faculty, and patient counts. The Executive Officers of the Medical Center (EOMC) monthly meetings illustrate the monitoring and highlighting of medical policy. Records include agendas, meeting summaries and material disseminated for background. A similar body of documentation is found in the files of the Vice Provost Advisory Board (VPAB). Records of the General Division of Health Science provide broader documentation of issues facing the health science schools. The Medical Affairs Advisory Committee (MAAC) is comprised of agendas and minutes of the Senate Assembly committee established in 1989 to provide faculty input for Medical Center policy decisions and advise the Vice Provost.
