Professional Activities
Gossett's Professional Activities concern various legal committees and commissions on which he served and legal issues on which he had developed an expertise. Among numerous topics he dealt with as a member of the ABA and other legal organizations were business ethics, campus government and student dissent, electoral college reform, the International Court of Justice, judicial salaries, ABA meetings, the National Law Foundation, the National Legal Aid Defenders Association, fair trials and free press, and the education of lawyers. A second part of this series includes general office correspondence from 1958 to 1962 and files of correspondence for the American President's Life Insurance Company from 1965 to 1967.
