Scholarship
The Scholarship series (0.5 linear feet) documents Patterson's scholarly work including several folders on two "Anthology of Art Songs By Black American Composers" that he compiled and published, and a small amount of material from his professorial career. There are two folders of musical arrangements of popular songs and his own compositions that Patterson likely developed for the University of Michigan Glee Club and some brief notes on a history of African American music. More information on the Men's Glee Club can be found in the Men's Glee Club (University of Michigan) Records, 1886-1994.
