Audio and Visual Materials
The Audio and Visual Materials series contains photographs and audio and visual tapes. For preservation purposes, photographs were removed from a plastic album and placed in folders. These include color snapshots of exhibits mounted by the organization, photographs of individuals (such as musician Willie Ashford and photographer Donald Lynn) and images donated by families and community leaders. Of particular note are a few 8 1/2 x 11 black and white prints of Willow Run that were made in the 1940s (some are stamped "Ypsilanti Daily Press" on the back).
Tapes include an audio recorded "rap session" (1984) and a video recorded Willow Run black arts celebration (1986). The celebration featured Earl Jackson's artwork along with a wide variety of music, speakers, performances, and skits.
