The American Citizens for Justice, (or the Asian American Center for Justice), is a Detroit-based Asian American civil rights group founded in reaction to the fatal beating of Vincent Chin, a Chinese-American man. The ACJ later evolved into an organization advocating for the rights of Asian-Americans in general. Records consist of meeting minutes, financial reports, correspondence, publications and grants, Vincent Chin related information, legal case files, health project files, as well as topical files and audiovisual material.

The American Citizens for Justice record group details the administrative functions as well as the activities and goals of the organization. The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology was founded in 2001 when the Department of Biology split into two separate departments, the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. The collection spans from 1998-2009 with the bulk of the material being from 2001-2009. The collection contains correspondence, administrative information, documents from the transitional team, and publications.

The Gargoyle, a University of Michigan humor magazine, was first published in 1909. The collection includes correspondence, ephemera, photographs, reminiscences from Gargoyle staff members, and some original artwork.

The collection includes various materials and papers from former staff members, primarily from John Dobbertin, Jr. Gargoyle editor from 1962-1964. Dobbertin organized many reunions and served as a clearing house for Gargoyle ephemera. Materials include correspondence, ephemera, photographs, reminiscences from Gargoyle staff members, printed material, and original artwork.

The collection has been divided into two series: Manuscript Materials and Printed Materials.

Also represented in this collection are its predecessor organizations, the Ann Arbor School of Music and the University School of Music, and its departments. Includes records of students and instructors, correspondence, topical files, and materials related to student and faculty performance groups. Archived versions of the School's websites provide additional documentation of academic programs, research, events, people, and policies.

The School of Music, Theatre, & Dance (University of Michigan) records document music education in Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan and student and faculty musical production beginning in 1885. The records include student ledgers listing names, tuition, and instructors; correspondence and clippings, 1924-1953, concerning the University Band, including correspondence of William D. Revelli; files relating to musical programs, particularly the Michigan Singers' Spring Tour, the Union Opera, and Musket productions; minutes of the executive committee and faculty; and digitized audio and video recordings of performances, including performances at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, by the Michigan Youth Ensembles, and other groups associated with the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Also included are files associated the Department of Dance and Department of Theatre and Drama.
