The Grant Recipient Files sub-series (16 linear feet) contains records of grants issued by the Berman foundation to local and national organizations. There is a great deal of information related to the foundation's long-term work with important Jewish organizations including the Jewish Education Services of North America (JESNA), the Berman Jewish Data Bank, the United Jewish Communities and the National Jewish Population Survey. The sub-series also contains files from smaller organizations including the Detroit Jewish News, the University of Michigan Hillel and the United Way.
