Topical files and writings of Michelle Krebs, a Detroit-based freelance automotive writer who served as editorial coordinator and contributing editor for various publications of the automotive industry as well as contributing journalist for newspapers and general-interest magazines.

The 2012 accession contains additions to the Topical Files, Promotional Materials, Press Releases, and Publications series.

The Michigan Affordability and Advocacy Coalition (University of Michigan) records includes two versions of the publication, "Being Not-Rich at UM: A Guide." Both versions—which are dated to April 2018 and October 2018—provide information on a range of topics, including employment, housing, food, on-campus resources, and finances. Also included is a related "Chronicle of Higher Education" article on the guide.

The Michigan Citizen was a weekly African American newspaper published from 1978 to 2014, and distributed in Benton Harbor, the City of Highland Park, and the City of Detroit, Michigan. The Michigan Citizen Records consist of the weekly issues of the Michigan Citizen newspaper, the subject files used by the newspaper staff, reporter's notes, correspondence written to the editor of the Michigan Citizen, and hundreds of photographs.

The Michigan Citizen Records document various points of political, social, and economic history and events, relating to African Americans, that took place in southern Michigan from 1978-2015, with specific focuses on the cities of Benton Harbor, Detroit, and Highland Park.

Felbeck, including board minutes, newspaper articles, web pages, correspondence, images, and other documents. Chiefly Microsoft Word files, also some website files and other formats.

The Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO) records reflect the views and activities of a prominent non-profit organization in Michigan involved in a controversial area of American politics, the fight between gun control activists and gun rights activists. The records are a rich source of information on gun rights and politics in Michigan, as well as the larger, nation-wide debate over the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

University of Michigan student newspaper. Records include biographical information about University of Michigan faculty, staff, and administrators, including news clippings, news releases, and curriculum vitae; and negatives and contact prints of images of University buildings, student and staff activities, athletic events, and life in Ann Arbor, Michigan; and portraits of faculty, staff, and administrators.

This record group consists primarily of visual materials created by the photographic staff of The Michigan Daily. The photographs cover the full spectrum of activities on campus -- classroom scenes, staff and faculty portraits, academic ceremonies, student protests, athletics, student life, speakers and musical performers, as well as some Ann Arbor scenes and events and occasional events of state and national significance. To date, no administrative records have been donated to the Bentley Historical Library. The records were received in several accessions. The organization of the records in part reflects these multiple accessions with several distinct runs of negatives and prints (though there may be some overlap in years.

The Lansing-based Michigan Environmental Council (MEC) formed in 1980 to coordinate lobbying and other member activities, distribute information, and monitor the environmental policies of state government. More recently, the council has focused almost exclusively on distributing information, directing funding, and building broad consensus on land use issues. The MEC records include information on significant environmental issues in Michigan as well as administrative papers pertaining to the council's operation.

The Michigan Environmental Council records depict the incremental growth of one of Michigan's pre-eminent environmental organizations. In addition to administrative records dealing with the council's operation, the record group also contain information on key environmental issues, major council initiatives, and MEC members. These records therefore will be of value to those interested in the environmental movement, Michigan legislative process, and the development of non-profit organizations.

This record group came from two different sources. The papers for the period 1940 to 1951 were discovered in the basement of the Guild House at the University of Michigan. The papers for the years 1951 to 1957 are the files of past editors of the newsletter which were turned over to Rebecca Shelley when she became editor in 1958. The files on her period as editor are located in her personal papers also located at the Michigan Historical Collections. There is much additional information on the Michigan Fellowship of Reconciliation in the Shelley papers both before and after she served as editor. The library also has an almost complete file of the newsletters of the Michigan Fellowship of Reconciliation between 1940 and 1968 which has been separately cataloged and is not described in this finding aid.

The Michigan Historical Collections Polar Bear Expedition Photograph Collection includes images relating to the American intervention in north Russia, 1918-1919, the "Polar Bear Expedition." The provenance of most of the photographs has been lost and therefore these images have been grouped together by subject into an artificial accumulation.

The digitized Polar Bear Expedition photograph collection is a part of a larger collection which includes a wide range of subject matter. The 24 images relating to the "Polar Bear Expedition" include photographs and postcards depicting various scenes, events, and individuals. Identified individuals include Private Walter Streit of Company M, 339th Infantry and General Richardson (W. P. Richardson?), as well as various photographs of Russian people. The collection also includes photographs of Company M, 339th Infantry and the 339th Infantry Supply Company and a photograph of a marker for Company H, 339th Infantry soldiers killed in action. Russian places documented in these photographs include Murmansk, Tegra, Archangel, Konetsbor, and the Vologda Railway.

Established in 2012, Michigan Media is the University of Michigan's video production unit. In addition to producing creative and instructional videos, Michigan Media also offers event coverage services. The record group consists of digital video recordings of University of Michigan events that occurred during the Fall 2016 through Fall 2019 terms, excluding the Spring summer session of each year. Particularly well represented are recordings of events associated with the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy; Physics Department of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; Wallace House, home of the Knight-Wallace Fellowships; and TEDxUofM conferences.

These events include lectures and lecture series, conferences, symposia, and commencement ceremonies. Particularly well represented are recordings of events associated with the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy; Physics Department of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; and the Wallace House, home of the Knight-Wallace Fellowships. The collection does not include recordings of events that occurred during the spring-summer terms.
