The collection contains materials related to Jane Otteson King's participation as a clarinetist in the University of Michigan's Symphony Band Tour of the Soviet Union, Near East and Eastern Europe in 1961.

The Jane Otteson King papers (1 linear foot) are comprised of materials related to the 1961 University of Michigan Symphony Band tour through the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and the Near East. The 15 week tour occurred during the cold war and was sponsored by the United States Department of State.

Career state government worker, later wife of Michigan governor James J. Blanchard. Files detailing her career in state government and her later duties as wife of Michigan governor James J. Blanchard, 1989-1990. The collection includes extensive documentation of the Governor's Task Force on Telecommunications (1990) on which she served.

The collection is divided into three series. In addition to a few folders of biographical information, there is a small series of correspondence and other materials pertaining to her education and career prior to her marriage to Governor James J. Blanchard. The third series of papers relates to Janet Blanchard's role as First Lady of Michigan. This later series is comprised of general information, including correspondence; organizational activities files, with extensive documentation pertaining to the Governor's Task Force on Telecommunications in 1990; and events files containing speeches, drafts of talks, and related correspondence detailing her attendance and participation at various public functions.

Janet Lynn, founder of the Citizens Council for Land Use Research and Education (CLURE), was an activist and environmentalist in southeastern Michigan. The collection documents CLURE's involvement with controversial land issues such as the construction of highways and shopping centers, as well as its efforts to educate the public about issues of land use and planning.

The Janet D. Lynn Papers (3.7 linear feet) document CLURE's activities in land use activism and education. These include the Northwestern Highway Extension project and the related M-275 freeway discussions, efforts to stop construction of proposed shopping centers in West Bloomfield and Novi, Michigan, as well as discussion of legislation in the state of Michigan and materials related to CLURE-sponsored symposia. In addition to these topics, the records also document CLURE itself, through legal, promotional and fundraising materials.

The collection is arranged in three series: Biographical/Historical Information, Northwestern Highway Extension, 1972-1981 and Citizens Council for Land Use Research and Education (CLURE) Records.

The papers of Janet Good consist of 0.5 linear feet of documents relating primarily to Good's activities in feminist organizations and her work for the MESC. The papers are organized into a single topical series, arranged alphabetically. With the exception of the Biographical, the bulk of the collection relates to organizations in which Good participated.

The Biographical files documents aspects of Good's career not specifically relating to her involvement in feminist and civil rights organizations. Concise information about Good's life and career is contained in the News Clippings, Resume, and Photograph file.

Files for the National Organization for Women and the Older Women's League. contain materials relating to state or local chapters and to Good's participation on the national level, such as her role in organizing the 1977 NOW National Conference in Detroit and her preparation of Executive Committee minutes for the National Owl Board during her term as Secretary.

Janice J. Terry is a Middle East scholar and author, whose primary focuses are issues facing Palestine and Arab-Americans. The collection includes documents from Arab-American organizations, and publications detailing Palestine, Arab-Americans and the Middle East in General.

The collection dates from 1957 to 2007, and reflects Janice Terry's career interests, including documents relating to the Arab American Media Society, the Arab American National Museum, and other Arab-American organizations, as well as publications focusing on Palestine, Arab-Americans, and the Middle East in general. Additionally, the collection also includes audiotapes and videotapes.

Sketchbook, 1855-1856 The original of the sketchbook is located in the library vault; the use copy (photocopies) is located in Aa/1 Cropsey. A master negative microfilm of the sketchbook is available for staff use only.

The Pennington papers relates primarily to his activities with the Washtenaw County Historic District Commission. Other materials concern general Episcopal Church activities in Inkster and Ypsilanti, Michigan. Of special interest are the historical research papers prepared by Pennington on Episcopal and Ypsilanti topics.

Material received with the 2014 accession mostly include records related to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
