Papers of Josh Mack, an African American education specialist, civic leader, and former Detroit Board of Education member. The collection includes biographical materials, articles and press releases, correspondence (including some from former Michigan politicians), curriculum guidelines from the Wayne County Attention Centers, a small amount of photographs, an audio recording of a Testimonial event, a digital file comprising of several television interviews and news clips, and other collected materials pertaining to Mack's professional career and civic duties.

The collection primarily focuses on Mack's tenure as an education specialist, Detroit Board of Education member, and as a civic leader, particularly in Detroit's North End neighborhood.

Records include biographical materials, articles and press releases about Mack's professional career and civic activities, correspondence, writings, curriculum materials --primarily from Mack's tenure as an administrative coordinator with the Wayne County Attention Centers,--and collected items pertaining to Mack's professional activities and his interest in education, job training, and counseling services for minorities. Also included several digital news clips and interviews.

Dr. June Manning Thomas is a Black University of Michigan alum (Ph.D. 1977) and the Mary Frances Berry Distinguished University Professor Emerita of Urban Planning, and the Centennial Professor Emerita of Urban and Regional Planning. The collection includes biographical and teaching material, interview notes and related material, papers, presentations, publications, reports, and topical files.

The material in the June Manning Thomas papers is dated from 1951-2021 (bulk 1990-2010) and primarily documents Dr. Thomas's professional activities and research interests. The collection is organized into several file groups. The Biographical file includes clippings, photographs, correspondence, vitae, and related material about Thomas. The Collected Materials file contains miscellaneous publications, reports, and other material from Dr. Thomas's bookshelf that are not directly connected to her own work. The Research, Publications, and Related Material file includes interview material, papers and presentations, reports, topical files, and other material related to her professional efforts, research, and scholarship. The Teaching file group includes course material, syllabi, and topical files related to Thomas's teaching, primarily at the University of Michigan.

Kevyn Orr is an attorney who served as Emergency Manager for the City of Detroit from 2013 to 2014, and oversaw the city's Chapter 9 bankruptcy filing and financial restructuring during that period. This collection contains physical and digital records documenting Orr’s tenure as emergency manager, including governmental, legal, and financial records as well as correspondence and handwritten notes.

This collection contains analog and digital records created between 2010 and 2014, the vast majority of which derive from Kevyn Orr’s eighteen month tenure as Emergency Manager of the City of Detroit (March 2013 – December 2014). These documents include official announcements, orders, contracts, and reports from the office of the Emergency Manager, as well as budgetary planning and financial restructuring records. It also holds legal and advisory documents related to the Detroit Chapter 9 Bankruptcy filing. Some correspondence, internal memos, meeting agendas and public relations material are included as well.

Meeting minutes, financial records, book lists, and clippings; also scrapbook, 1953-1968, concerning the Ann Arbor Public Library; commemorative tenth anniversary volume, 1876, containing message to the women of 1976; also audio cassettes of some meetings. Also contains material on the organization's 150th anniversary, including a presentation from Francis X. Blouin.

The records of the Ladies Library Association of Ann Arbor include minutes of meetings, anniversary and celebratory materials, clippings and photographs, and financial records. Feminist, active in various women's rights organizations; biographical information files relating to involvement with ERAmerica or W.O.M.E.N. (Women Organized to Meet Existing Needs)

The Laura Carter Callow papers document her career as an advocate for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and her involvement in such organizations as ERAmerica and W.O.M.E.N (Women Organized to Meet Existing Needs). The papers are divided into three series: Personal, ERAmerica and W.O.M.E.N.

Materials surrounding the philanthropic career of prominent metropolitan Detroit attorney, Jewish community leader, and University of Michigan alumnus (LSA, 1964) Lawrence S. Jackier. The collection primarily contains annual reports, correspondence, meeting materials, programs, publications, and other materials from Jackier's presidency with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and his tenure with the Technion Institute's International Board of Governors. The collection also contains materials pertaining to Jackier's accolades, and his affiliation with other organizations addressing the concerns of the Detroit Jewish community and the state of Israel.

The papers of Lawrence S. Jackier primarily focus on his philanthropic efforts through the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and his leadership at the Technion Institute (Israel's first university). This includes annual reports, meeting and speech materials, magazine and newspaper articles, event programs such as his 2004 honorary doctorate conferment at the Institute and other materials.

Of a particular note are correspondence and acknowledgements from notable members within and outside of the Jewish community congratulating Jackier on his election to the JFMD presidency, his receipt of the Fred M. Butzel and Golden Torah awards, and his honorary doctorate. These notable individuals include University of Michigan Preseident Mary Sue Coleman, United States Senator Carl M. Levin, congressman Joe Knollenberg, and President Shimon Peres of Israel, among others.

Includes addresses, annual reports, bibliographies, brochures, bulletins, catalogs, directories, histories, journals, lectures and magazines. Some titles include The Law School, 1940 - 1973; Legal Education at Michigan, 1859 - 1959; A Short History and Some of the Graduate of the Department; and the Michigan Journal of International Law.

This collection is divided into four subseries: Unit Publications, Sub-Unit Publications, Topical Publications, and Student Publications. Some publications may no longer be available in print but are available in digital format through the Law School's archived or current website or in Deep Blue, the University's institutional repository. The records of the League of Women Voters of the Ann Arbor Area have been arranged into the following series: Organizational Records, 1942-1966 (mainly Mrs. Ivan Duff files); Health Care and Planning Issues, 1966-1973; Administrative, 1920-1990; Elections, 1946-1982; Issues, 1944-1981: and Topical files, 1969-1983. As the records came from different donors, there is some inevitable overlap between the various series.

The Web Archive of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community of Michigan collection contains archived websites created by various LGBT groups and individuals of the State of Michigan.
