The Kuplan collection consists of sound recordings of his television program "A Gift of Time." The collection has been arranged chronologically, dating from 1970 to 1978. The tapes are all 7 in. reel-to-reel and play at 7 1/2 ips. The topics of the programs relate to concerns of the elderly. Guests on the program included important experts in the field of gerontology.

The records of Louis Sands business interests have been arranged in seven series. These include letterpress books, journals, ledgers, time books, subsidiary volumes, associated records, and miscellaneous. The letterpress books and miscellaneous documents have been retained in their original format. The remaining material has been microfilmed.

The original relationship between much of the business records has been lost beyond reconstruction. Because of this, volumes have been grouped by type rather than by business venture. The loss of the original relationship between the volumes was responsible, as well, for the establishment of an arbitrary chronological order for some volumes.

All of the material microfilmed as well as a large quantity of material relating to Sands & Burr, bankers, which was not filmed, has been placed on permanent loan to the Manistee Historical Museum in Manistee.

The collection consists primarily of diaries and correspondence from the period when Doll served in Japan.

Lucille H. McCollough was a Democratic State Representative for the Michigan House of Representatives representing the 16th District (Wayne County) from 1954 to 1964, and the 31st District (Wayne County) from 1964 to 1982. McCollough's papers comprise her legislative work and involvement with issues surrounding education, senior citizens, and property taxes. Collection also highlights many other bills she introduced, her campaign efforts with her son, Senator Patrick McCollough, and her relationships with her constituents.

This collection documents the political career of Lucille H. McCollough, her campaign efforts, House bills she introduced, and other activities. Lucinda Hinsdale Stone (1814-1900) was a Kalamazoo, Michigan, activist, educator, feminist, and writer who supported the abolition of enslaved persons, coeducation, education for women, and women's suffrage. She also founded and/or supported numerous Michigan women's study clubs and organizations. Stone's advocacy work also resulted in the enrollment of female students at the University of Michigan, which began in 1870. Consists of one photo of guests at a party hosted by Stone, one photo of Stone's residence in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and portraits.
