Diane Hebert is an environmentalist and environmental activist living in Midland, Michigan. Since the 1970s, Hebert has been investigating the emissions produced by the Dow Chemical Company and the dangers of human exposure to a group of chemicals called dioxins. The Diane Hebert papers include correspondence, meeting agenda and notes, and research material related to Hebert's involvement in environmental activism, as well as various publications and reports related to Dow, and the link between health and the environment.

The Diane Hebert papers comprise 8 linear feet of materials, spanning the years 1950 to 2009, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1970 to 2000. The papers include correspondence, meeting agenda and notes, and research related to Hebert's involvement in environmental activism, as well as collected publications and reports related to Dow, and the link between health and the environment.

The Currie papers cover the period between 1910 and 1960 and consist primarily of correspondence relating to his years in the Michigan Legislature, including letters of encouragement and support to and from peers and constituents. The majority of this correspondence focuses on support for and speculation concerning Gilbert Currie's bid for the job of speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives.

The Lone Tree Council is an environmental organization founded in 1978 by citizens of Bay City, MI looking to prevent the Consumer Power Company nuclear construction. Since its inception the Lone Tree Council has focused on other environmental problems such as water pollution in the Saginaw Bay and Tittabawassee River. The collection mainly consists of collected reports from the Environmental Protection Agency and Dow Chemical Company, but also contains educational materials and press statements from the Lone Tree Council.

The Lone Tree Council records consist of materials collected by the organization in response to the dioxins found in the Tittabawassee River and the area surrounding Dow Chemical Company's Midland headquarters.
