This collection consists of information file cards used by the Bates Real Estate company in its business of selling homes in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Each card contains information about the physical characteristics of homes for sale in period of approximately 1955 to 1980. The cards also include a photograph of the house. The collection is arranged alphabetically by the name of the street where the house is located.

Ann Arbor, Michigan businessman, dealer in coal, farm machinery, bicycles, and automobiles; correspondence, letterbooks, and various record books of Ann Arbor business/enterprises owned and established by Michael Staebler and his family including Staebler and Elmer, Michael Staebler and Son, and Staebler and Sons.

This is a collection of the business papers of Michael Staebler, Ann Arbor businessman, dealer in coal, farm machinery, bicycles and automobiles. The records date from the early 1870s to the late 1920s. Included are some materials of Staebler's son, Edward W., who in addition to assisting in the family business was also active in bicycling craze of the 1890s.

New World State Wide V’s Realty’s collection of Michigan real estate data and sales books for Albion County (1997-2003), Hillsdale County (1995-1999), Jackson County (1994-2009), Lenawee County (1993-2007, and 2010), Monroe (1988, 1993-1994, and 1996-2009), Washtenaw County (1973-2011), and Wayne County (1976-1982, 1985, and 1988-2004).

The New World State Wide V's Realty property listings and sales book collection contains materials for Albion, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Monroe, parts of Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties of the state of Michigan. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order by county and in chronological order within each county.

Materials for the Washtenaw County contain a number of types of publications --comparable sales books, data books, and Real Estate Pace summary reports. Depending on the time period, materials were published separately or jointly by Ypsilanti Board of Realtors and Ann Arbor Board of Realtors, or by the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors. Due to this complexity, Washtenaw County materials are arranged in strict chronological order, with each box containing all available materials produced by different boards for the same areas and years.

Collection also includes Women's Council of Realtors Roster (1978) and 1 folder containing materials of the KWS Realty (Ann Arbor and Southfield) with descriptions of several commercial properties in Ann Arbor (1991).

Oral history interviews with residents of Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and other Washtenaw County, Michigan, locales largely concerning their remembrances of their lives and activities during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

The sound recordings were received in different accessions depending mainly on the date of the interview. The first accession was largely made up of interviews conducted by the Ypsilanti Historical Society and related to the history of Ypsilanti and surrounding areas. The second accession is comprised of interviews with individuals relating to Ann Arbor business establishments. The later accessions were miscellaneous interviews on Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County history. Accompanying almost all of the interviews were summary sheets providing a condensation of the interview. The listing below notes the interviews which lack a summary.

The library has releases from about half of the interviewees. Interviews with releases are noted in the listing below.
