American Association of University Women, 1985-1992
American Association of University Women, 1985-1992 is a small series comprised of files from various organizational activities and concerns ranging from nuclear war prevention efforts to the issue of teenage pregnancy.
Historical File
The Historical Files, 1900-1952 (bulk dates, 1900-1930; 0.3 linear feet), contain early records of the ACS, University of Michigan Section. It consists of secretary's records of the University of Michigan Section and ACS French Orphan Fund Files. The secretary's records contain minutes and financial statements of the local section. The orphan fund files consists of correspondence between the ACS, University of Michigan Section members and Michelle Pignal, a French orphan that they sponsored after World War I; and financial statements, which are mainly contributors' rosters. Materials in this series are arranged chronologically.
Washtenaw County Branch
The Washtenaw County Branch series is divided into two subseries, Administrative and Topical.
Administrative
The Administrative subseries consists of materials related to the organization, governance and management of the Branch, including minutes from executive board meetings, correspondence, by-laws, policy and position statements. Correspondence is split into External and Internal categories. External consists of correspondence to and from individuals and organizations outside of the local branch while Internal consists of correspondence among members of the Washtenaw County Branch, including executive board memos.
