Lawyer with the Bendix Corporation and the Ford Motor Company, and member of numerous legal and public service organizations. Speeches, articles and public statements; material relating to his activities with the American Bar Association, the National Legal Aid and Defender Association, and other legal groups; some files concern his interest in such topics as business ethics, campus government and student dissent in the 1960s, electoral college reform, and legal education; there is also material detailing his involvement in public service organizations concerned largely with civil rights and education; also contracts, agreements, and other documentation relating to reorganization of Wesco Corporation (later National Theatres Corporation), 1933-1936; and reorganization of Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures, July-August 1935.

The William T. Gossett collection chronicle his professional career as a lawyer and businessman as well as those many public service activities in which he was active. The collection was received in two accessions, 1981 and 1997. The 1981 accession, the largest of the two, consisted of the following series: Vita; Speeches, Articles, and Statements; Professional Activities; Topical Files; Public Service Files; Hospitals and Organizations; Colleges Universities, and Schools; and Personal Correspondence. The smaller 1997 accession included these series: Biographical and Personal Materials; Speeches, Articles, and Statements; Photographs; and Twentieth Century-Fox. There was some slight overlap in the content of the two accessions, particularly in Gossett's speeches and articles. No attempt was made, however, to intersperse this similar material.

Veteran of World War II, later commander of Erwin Prieskorn Post No. 46 of the American Legion, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Subject files relating to veterans activities and his involvement in issues of concern to veterans; minutes of meetings of Ann Arbor, Michigan, post of the American Legion; and scrapbook of American Legion Post No. 46 containing letters from servicemen in Vietnam and photographs of post activities; also other photographs and videotapes.

The George W. Harms collection has been arranged into four series: Biographical; Topical Files; American Legion Post No. 46; and Visual Materials. Most of the collection relates to his activities with the Ann Arbor American Legion post and with veterans affairs in general. Post No. 46 materials includes minutes, correspondence, a scrapbook, and some newspaper clippings dating from 1968 to 1988. The issues of concern to veterans and to Harms included government policies and procedures concerning soldiers listed as missing in action and relationships with their families, Veterans Administration policies toward disabled soldiers, veterans' benefits for survivors of soldiers killed in action, and anti-war protests in Ann Arbor in the 1960s.

The Sid Gilman collection consists of biographical, UM departmental, research, and grant information, in addition to numerous lectures and presentations that Gilman has given during his tenure at both Columbia University and the University of Michigan. Correspondence, filmstrips, photographs, videotape, and other media are distributed throughout the collection. Material about neurologist Derek Denny-Brown is also included.

The Sid Gilman collection consists primarily of correspondence and research papers detailing his professional career, although photographs, filmstrips, slides, and other images are also distributed throughout the collection. This collection is divided into seven series: Biographical Info, Professional Information, UM Neurology Department Information, Decade of the Brain, Lectures/Presentations, Denny-Brown Material and, Research. Two of these series are further divided into two sub-series.

Parts of the collection are arranged in alphabetical order for ease of use, although the remaining series have been maintained in their original order. In addition, some of the contents are partially arranged in reverse chronological order, also as maintained originally.

The collection is comprised of four series: Biographical; Newspaper career; Miscellaneous; and Scrapbooks. The Biographical series is important for Miller's diary of his life and career in the period of 1932-1954. The diary provides a detailed description of the operation of the newspaper during the depression with comments on state and national politics. The Newspaper career series includes scrapbooks of his editorials and his "Personally Speaking" column. The Scrapbook series includes clippings, programs, scattered photographs, and memorabilia from his career and personal activities.

The papers of Bishop Hubert N. Robinson are divided into six series: biographical, correspondence, clippings and scrapbooks, programs, A.M.E. printed material, and photographs.

Political science professor at Eastern Michigan University, 1965-1986, known for research on "gender gap" in voting behavior, active in Washtenaw County Democratic party. Records document her research and teaching activities.

The Marjorie Lansing Papers document the personal, professional, and political activities of Marjorie Lansing (1916-1998), who was an Eastern Michigan University Professor of Political Science, University of Michigan alumna, and feminist political activist. The collection contains material from 1937 to 1998, with a concentration from 1967 to 1993. It provides insights into her career, political viewpoints, research agenda, and others' perceptions of her.

Philip Kerr, a professional actor, taught theatre at the University of Michigan from 1984 to 2012. In addition to teaching courses in the Department of Theatre and Drama, he directed many productions put on by the department. This collection includes material documenting these productions and his role as a faculty member.

The Philip Kerr Papers document Kerr's time at the University of Michigan as a professor in the Department of Theatre and Drama. They primarily contain records and publications from productions in which Kerr was director or an actor, as well as administrative records reflecting Kerr's role and experiences as a faculty member within the Department of Theatre and Drama, especially his efforts to improve the quality of the department, such as the establishment of the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree program. The collection is arranged into five series: Biographical, Correspondence, Photographs, Productions, and Topical.

Professor of Near Eastern Languages and Literature at the University of Michigan; personal and professional correspondence relating to archeological expeditions and discoveries in Iran and the Near East.

The George Cameron papers consist of personal and professional correspondence mainly in the 1960s and 1970s. Very little of the materials relates to his work as founder and professor of the U-M Department of Near Eastern Studies. The bulk relates to his interaction and communication with other scholars in the field. The collection has been arranged into three series: Biographical, Correspondence, and Other materials.

Musician and music educator active in Detroit, Michigan area Polish and ethnic music circles, papers include correspondence, publicity material and photographs relating to ethnic music festivals and organizations.

The Gajec papers consist of correspondence, brochures, programs, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The material in the collection documents Detroit's ethnic communities in the 1950-1990 period, focusing on established ethnic organizations and festivals. The collection also contains material relating to amateur musical activities and a small amount of material relating to civic organizations. The papers are organized in three series: Biographical, Ethnic Activities and Organizations, and Other Activities and Organizations.
