The correspondence relates to astronomy and observatories. Among his correspondents were A.W. Chase, 1873-1874; Joseph Henry, 1877; William E. Upjohn, 1880; and Victor C. Vaughan, 1880. The correspondence concern in part Watson's participation in the piano exhibit at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition.

The Correspondence and Related Materials series (1960-2011, 0.5 linear feet), contains materials relating to his personal correspondences and various project designs. Included are a number of responses from United States Congressmen regarding funding for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Pinkus's resume from 1996. The series also contains digital content that includes performance reviews, reports relating to his research projects, and email correspondence.

Reeves' correspondence and related papers are arranged chronologically. It is subdivided into several time spans roughly reflecting major periods in Reeves' career: 1953-1912, 1913-1917, 1918,1919-1926, 1927-1942.
