The Don't Waste Michigan record group is comprised of materials collected by one of the members of the 1988 Central Steering Committee, Eunice Hendrix of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The record group cover the period of 1987 to 1990 and is divided into two series: Administrative Files and Background Files on Superconducting Super Collider.

The most heavily documented areas of the collection pertain to her research and to her involvement with the Alice and Edith Hamilton Award at the University Michigan. The collection has been divided into five series: Scholarly Work, Lectures and Conference Papers, Research, the Alice and Edith Hamilton Award, and Organizational Affiliations and Interests.

Professional papers, including correspondence, subject files, papers and reports, and files relating to workshops and symposia attended; Alzheimer's Disease research files; photographs; and other audio-visual materials.

The Dorothy H. Coons Papers comprise five series: Professional Papers (1936-1987); Alzheimer's Disease Research Project (1982-1986); Photographs (1966-1972);Audio-visual Materials (1976-1986); and Personal Papers (1999). The records cover the years 1936 to 1999, but the bulk of the material falls between 1970 and 1983. Within each series, files are arranged alphabetically by topic.

Biographical materials; correspondence with politicians, musical figures and other dignitaries; also personal materials concerning her concert career, her campaign for Congress in 1942, notably a journal of her daughters' trip to Europe in 1949; and photographs.

Except for some personal and genealogical studies, the Judd papers have been arranged into series accumulated as a result of specific interests and activities. The McCauley collection consists of the records of the Dav-Joy-Lin-Dex Community Council but including as well files documenting McCauley's other community activities. Of most importance in understanding the work of the Council are its News Bulletins which date from 1960 to 1989. In addition to neighborhood news, the bulletins included notes about city government, particularly as they related to this local neighborhood. The News Bulletins were also the place where McCauley informed the community about the Council's various petition drives.

As executive secretary of the Council, McCauley wanted her group to act as a clearinghouse of information about matters of neighborhood concern. Her collection reflects this interest. Besides material about the Council, McCauley also preserved records about the various block clubs that made up the Council. The great bulk of these relate to the Dexter-Elmhurst Advisory Board, but there are also newsletters for the Glynn Court Block Club and the Calvert Civic Block Club.
