Detroit based mechanical engineers who worked with prominent architects on residential and commercial buildings throughout Michigan; project files.

The Hyde & Bobbio, Inc. records are organized into two series: Project Files and Other Files. The collection encompasses seven linear feet of correspondence, mechanical specifications, data sheets, project accounts, and folded architectural drawings, as well as rolled architectural drawings in fifty-four tubes.

Biochemist; professor of biological chemistry at the University of Michigan. Bernstein had appointments in the school of public health and the medical school. Research and teaching files relate in part to his research involvement in the PBB investigations in Michigan in the 1970s; also course materials, personal and biographical information, correspondence, and photographs.

Isadore A. Bernstein's papers relate largely to his involvements with biochemistry and his teaching and research at the University of Michigan and abroad. These interests are reflected both in his research files and his correspondence. The collection is divided into three series: Research and Teaching, Personal and Biographical Information, and Correspondence.

He was involved with numerous, often Michigan-based, venture capital limited partnerships, companies, and corporations, including Doan Associates, Innovation Capital, the Michigan Investment Fund L.P. (MIF), MBW Venture Partners Limited Partnership (MBW), and the Plymouth and White Pines families of funds. Includes correspondence, financial records, presentations, reports, speaking and teaching materials, and topical files.

The Ian Bund papers primarily document the professional, speaking, and teaching activities of venture capital professional Ian Bund. Material in the collection is dated from 1969-2019 and includes correspondence, financial records, presentations, reports, speaking and teaching materials, and topical files.

Icie Gertrude Macy Hoobler Papers, 1914-1979

Research scientist. Correspondence, scientific reports and publications, other papers, and photographs, primarily concerning her interest in the problems of nutrition and aging, including her work with the Merrill-Palmer School in Detroit, the Detroit Institute of Cancer Research, the Children's Fund of Michigan, and Grand Valley State College in Allendale; also materials relating to her membership on the White House Conference on Food, Nutrition and Health, 1969, and various White House conferences on children and youth.

The collection has been divided into the following series: Subject files (24.3 linear ft.); Lectures (0.7 linear ft.); Manuscripts of writings (0.5 linear ft.); Personal and Biographical Materials (2 linear ft.); and Published Materials (2 linear ft.). Professor of economics at University of Michigan, referee with National Railroad Adjustment Board, member and chairman of various emergency and arbitration boards under Railroad Labor Act. Professional papers largely concerning his work toward the settlement of labor disputes, the publication of his books, his work on establishing a Zionist movement in Michigan, 1914-1918, especially in correspondence with Louis D. Brandeis and Horace M. Kallen; and photographs.

The Sharfman papers have been arranged into the following series: Correspondence; Professional activities; Writings; Addresses and Lectures; Other activities and interests; and University of Michigan.

Imagining America records, 1999-2007

Imagining America is a national consortium of colleges and universities that encourage sustainable campus-community partnerships in the arts, humanities, and design. From 2000 to 2007 Imagining America was hosted by the University of Michigan and directed by professor Julie Ellison. Imagining America fostered programs designed to enrich the public life of communities. The program sponsored a website, newsletter and annual national and state conferences and various scholarly and creative works.

The records of Imagining America (IA) were received in two accessions, in 2004 and 2007. In 2004, IA donated the "2004 Review" binders, which reviews the IA's history and accomplishments up to that point. In 2007, just before IA moved to its new host University of Syracuse, the IA donated a number of records that were organized into the following eight series: Mission, Overview and Website; Governance; History; Grants; Projects; Membership and Recruitment; Publications; and National Conferences.

The Imam Mohamad Jawad Chirri Papers document the cleric's religious, leadership, and scholarly activities as well as the inner workings of the Islamic Center during Chirri's tenure and after his death. The collection consists primarily of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorandums, board minutes, writing drafts, publications and newsletters.
