Keeve Milton Siegel was an inventor, physicist and professor of electrical engineering. Siegel’s papers consist of correspondence, memorandums, newspaper clippings, scientific reports, and files covering his academic, corporate and personal dealings.

The Keeve Milton Siegel Papers document Siegel's corporate, academic, and personal activities between the years 1953 to his death in 1975. The collection consists primarily of correspondence, memorandums, newspaper clippings, and scientific reports. The collection contains the following series: Corporate Activities, Research, and Personal/Biographical.

Member of Co. F, 339th U.S. Infantry who served in the Allied intervention in Russia, 1918-1920, the "Polar Bear Expedition." Collection includes a letter to his cousin, Mrs. Thomas Dittrich, describing in general terms his activities in Russia.

Also photograph, undated, of the Star Cornet Band of Ishpeming, Mich., and photograph, 1918, of "the human U.S. shield" formed by 30,000 officers and men at Camp Custer, Battle Creek, Mich.

Project funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to document the health care experiences of African Americans in southeastern Michigan consisting primarily of oral history interviews with African American health care practitioners and administrators covering the period 1940-1969; background files relating to the project, and oral history interview transcripts and audio recordings. Interviews discuss biographical details, desegregation efforts in Detroit area hospitals, and social conditions facing African Americans.

The records of the Kellogg African American Health Care Project have been kept in the original order in which they were received and have been divided into two chronological series: Phase I and Phase II, reflecting the two separate accessions that were received. The interviews in the Phase I series were conducted in 1997 and accessioned by the Bentley Historical Library in 1998, while the interviews in Phase II were conducted from 1997 through 1999 and accessioned by the library in 2000. Both of these series have a similar order and arrangement, differing mainly in who was interviewed; in addition, there is some updating of administrative papers in the 2000 accession. Both series are divided into two subseries: Administrative Files and Interviews. A description of the subseries for both of the series is below.

The Administrative Files subseries contains the organizational and background materials for the project including copies of the signed consent forms. This subseries gives several access tools for the interview portion of the collection as well as detailed information regarding the interview methodology. A Master Index and a Tape Index allow access by topic to both the transcripts and the tape-recorded material. Material related to follow-up research and further studies is also available.

The Interviews subseries contains the transcripts and tape recordings of the individual interviews. This subseries is organized alphabetically by the name of each person interviewed. A biographical sketch is provided for each individual and in some cases, copies of publications, photographs or computer-generated images of the participant, resumes, and news clippings are also included. In the Phase I series, the cassette tapes containing the interviews are included within each person's file. In the Phase II series, the tapes are stored separately.

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology publications collection includes unit and sub-unit publications, as well as exhibit and promotional brochures, flyers, and press releases.

The Kelsey Museum Publications series (.5 linear foot) consists of two subseries: Unit Publications and Sub-Unit Publications. Publications produced by the Kelsey Museum publications include exhibit catalogs, posters flyers and other publicity material, and newsletters.

Papers of Francis W. Kelsey, University of Michigan professor of Latin (for whom Museum was named); papers of Museum directors and curators, principally Orma F. Butler, Enoch E. Peterson, Louise A. Shier, John G. Winter; papers of University faculty associated with the Museum or the study and teaching of classical and medieval studies, notably Arthur E.R. Boak, Campbell Bonner, Thomas S. Jerome, and Robert H. McDowell; also records of the Institute of Archaeological Research, and material on 1975-1979 Carthage expedition.

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology records document the administration of the museum from its founding in 1929 and the research and field activities of University of Michigan archaeologists and classical scholars dating back to 1890. The material consists of files of Kelsey Museum director's and curator's and University of Michigan scholars closely associated with the museum or active in archaeological work prior to the museum's founding. The papers include extensive correspondence files; field notebooks, maps, photographs, reports, and other research material from archaeological expeditions; drafts of articles and books; teaching material; and administrative records

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology records have been treated and described here as a single collection divided into a number of subgroups. In the collection guide prepared by the Kelsey Museum, these subgroups were treated as individual collections, each with a separate finding aid and box numbering sequence beginning at one. The largest subgroup by far is the Francis Willey Kelsey papers, totaling 66.5 linear feet. Artifacts from excavations conducted by Kelsey formed the basis of the Museum's collection.
