Kenneth P. Davis papers, 1930-1974

Educator and forester; correspondence, articles, reports, consulting files, and printed material concerning interests in forest management, forest fire control, use planning, forestry education, and participation in several land use lawsuits, including suit on the multiple use plan for Sylvania area, Ottawa National Forest; and photographs.

The Davis collection documents his various activities as a teacher, consultant, and practicing forester. Kenneth Richard Gibson papers, 1930-1956

Detroit, Michigan, dentist and leader in public health dentistry; director of the Dental Division of the Children's Fund of Michigan (1929-1948), director of the Child Health division of the Children's Fund (1948-1954), and administrator of the Northern and Central Michigan Children’s Clinics. Correspondence, reports, budgets, questionnaires, inventories, and form books concerning dental programs of the Children’s Fund; lectures and articles on dental practice and education; also photographs.

The Kenneth Richard Gibson papers document his work as director of the Dental Division of the Children's Fund of Michigan and director of the Child Health Division of the Fund; his work with a number of public health and dental health professional associations; and to a lesser extent, his coursework in public health. The papers are arranged into four series: Personal, Professional Associations, Children's Fund of Michigan, Dental Division, and Children's Fund of Michigan, Child Health Division.

Kenneth Thorpe Rowe Papers, 1940-1953

Professor of drama at University of Michigan, chairman of the Committee on War Activities of the American Educational Theatre Association, and secretary of the Theatre for Victory Council during World War II. Files concerning his war activities, including correspondence, scripts, course materials and printed matter; and photographs.

The Kenneth Rowe Collection, though covering the period 1940-1953, largely concerns the years of World War II and the activities of Rove as chairman of the Committee on War Activities for the American Educational Theatre Association (AETA); as secretary of the Theatre for Victory Council; as consultant to the National Theatre Conference (NTC), official agency for all dramatic activities of the Combined Armed Forces; and as drama consultant to the U.S. Department of Treasury, the Office of Civil Defense, and the Office of Education. Rowe's work in all of these efforts concerned the use of drama as a propaganda tool to raise morale and to define America's goals.

The Rowe collection consists of two linear feet of correspondence, reports, newsletters, play scripts, and printed material. The collection begins with general correspondence followed by files which have been arranged by the name of theatre organizations in which Rove was involved.

Kenny R.E.H.A.B. Records, 1945-1997 (majority within 1950-1964)

Detroit-area chapter (est. 1946) of organization founded to provide the Kenny method treatment for neuromuscular diseases. Records include administrative files of the Detroit Chapter of the Sister Elizabeth Kenny Foundation; collected information pertaining to the Minneapolis headquarters of the Foundation and about Sister Kenny; informational publications; scrapbooks containing clippings and scattered photographs; and slides of 40th anniversary programs in 1986.

The Kenny R.E.H.A.B. records are arranged in four series: Detroit Chapter, 1948-1995, Supporting and Related Agencies, etc., 1945-1986, Publications, 1940s-1987, and Visual Materials, 1953-1986. The record group includes correspondence, minutes of the executive committee and the trustees, newsletters and other publications, and files pertaining to the relationship between the local chapter and the national headquarters. The records detail the changes in the administration and goals of the organization following the discovery of the Salk polio vaccine.

Kent Terwilliger papers, 1956-1989

University of Michigan professor of physics, 1952-1989; specialist in high-energy particle physics; department of physics associate chairman for research, 1985-1989.Papers relating to his research, teaching and administrative activities; include experiment files, topical files, class files and some physics department materials; also some materials on the Michigan Memorial Phoenix Project and the Michigan Superconducting Super Collider Commission; also includes some papers of Alan Krisch.

The collection is divided into two series: Research and Personal Materials and Teaching and Administrative Materials. Terwilliger's curriculum vita (including a list of publications and classes taught) and yearly letters summarizing his research activities are located in the first folder of Box 1.

Kermit Krueger papers, circa 1963-1965

Papers of Kermit Krueger, a University of Michigan alumnus who served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand from 1963 to 1965 and subsequently published two books of Thai folk stories he had collected during his time in the Peace Corps. The collection reflects Krueger's experiences living in a Thai village, teaching English in Thailand, traveling the country, and visiting other Asian countries while abroad.

The papers of Kermit Krueger document the experiences of a young Peace Corps volunteer living and exploring culture in Asian villages and cities in the early 1960s. This collection contains documents and artifacts created and collected by Krueger during his service in the Peace Corps from 1963 to 1965 as well as documents created after his return to the United States that reflect on his time in Thailand. The collection is organized into four series: Stories from Thailand, Visual Materials, Correspondence, and Travel Materials.

Kevin Duke Papers, 1984-1998 (majority within 1987-1997)

Ann Arbor, Michigan, businessman, active in local community groups and programs; a founder of Trailblazers of Washtenaw County, a non-profit agency operating a clubhouse rehabilitation center for the mentally ill; also active in Ann Arbor educational issues. Records of Trailblazers include bylaws, minutes, publications, and other administrative records; also files relating to involvement in other organizations for the mentally ill and Ann Arbor education.

The papers of Kevin Duke consist primarily of materials related to the different community service groups with which he was involved: Trailblazers of Washtenaw County, Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Washtenaw County, the Equity Audit Committee, and the Wines Elementary School's School Management Team. More than half of the collections relate to Trailblazers. The collection has been divided into two series: Trailblazers of Washtenaw County and Other Projects.

Kevorkian Family

The Kevorkian Family series (1911-2014, 1 linear foot, oversize materials, and digital files) includes materials related to Jack Kevorkian's parents Lewis (Levon) and Satenig Kevorkian, his older sister, Margaret (Margo) Janus, and his niece, Ava Janus. Lewis Kevorkian's material includes his business ledgers, a small collection of business records, and various certificates and estate documentation. Satenig Kevorkian's papers include her letters, written in Armenian and dated between 1912 and 1919, as well as letters of condolence received by the family after her death. Margaret Janus's personal files include her correspondence, letters of condolence on her death, and obituaries as well as her diplomas, certificates, and collected personal effects. Ava Janus's materials include a small collection of correspondence and collected newspaper clippings on various subjects. Oversize Kevorkian family materials include collected articles on the 1915 Armenian genocide, passports, and maps. The Kevorkian family series includes photographs depicting family gatherings, snapshots, studio portraits, and wedding photos as well as a photo album of the Armenian Relief Corps of Pontiac, Michigan, dated 1930, that contains a photo of Satenig Kevorkian. The audiovisual materials include digitized video and audio recordings of family gatherings. Some audio recordings are partially in Armenian. There are also Jack Kevorkian portraits, photographs taken during his military service, and photos of his travels abroad.
