Network of lesbian parents and their children in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Mich. area. The collection includes organizational bylaws, Board meetings minutes, newsletters, and photographs. Some materials relate to the Coalition for Adoption Rights Equality, Inc. and the 2004 Conference on Rainbow Families.

The majority of the materials in this collection are organizational records from the Lesbian Moms' Network, including newsletters, bylaws, Board of Directors' minutes, and photos of demonstrations; it also contains records relating to Coalition for Adoption Rights Equality, Inc. (CARE). The collection also includes a folder of material relating to the Conference on Rainbow Families, held in October 2004 at the University of Michigan.

The collection documents through correspondence and other materials the development of modern anthropological theory and practice, particularly the concept of cultural evolution and his theory that the control of energy is basic to the evolution of culture. The Leslie Corsa, Jr. collection consists of six linear feet of papers covering the years 1937 to 1986. In addition to some biographical material, mainly articles about Corsa and personal notes that he entitled "The Course of My Life" in which he discusses his education and training in the period 1940-1947, the bulk of the collection consists of professional correspondence, personal diaries, and subject files relating almost entirely to his career and professional interest in population planning. These subject files largely reflect Corsa's organizational activities: Center for Population Planning (of the U-M's School of Public Health); Department of Population Planning; and School of Public Health. There is also a China series consisting of correspondence and other materials gathered by Corsa in his study of population planning in China. Much of this research was done jointly with Dr. Pi Chao Chen of Wayne State University. The collection concludes with a series of topical files, some of which concern his association with the American Public Health Association and the Office of Technology Assessment in 1979-1980.

The papers of Professor Leslie Kish relate primarily to his activities as a university professor and to his research interests. Included as well is an extensive run of his various writings. The papers date from 1952 to 2001 and are divided into six series: Biographical Information, University of Michigan Administrative and Course Materials, Papers and Presentations, Institute of Social Research, Organizations and Activities, and Personal and Professional Correspondence.

Letitia J. Byrd is an African-American local community leader and a counselor for Huron High School in the Ann Arbor Public School system. She is also very involved with other Ann Arbor community organizations. This collection includes photographs, professional correspondence, and documents recording her involvement with numerous local organizations and with the Ann Arbor School System.
