Records concern legal aspects of university policy, university labor relations, court case of the University of Michigan and the Michigan State Labor Mediation Board, and student disturbances and disciplinary actions taken against students.

These records document university policies regarding student conduct and discipline and the university's relationship with labor unions. Additionally, the materials document the involvement of university attorneys in the decision-making process. Frequent correspondents of Mr. Lemmer's included Vice President Wilbur K. Pierpont and President Robben W. Fleming.

The records measure 1.5 linear feet and are divided into four series: University Policy, Labor Relations, Regents V. Labor Mediation Board, and Student Unrest.

Publications produced by the University of Michigan registrar's office including course descriptions and time schedules, statistics and reports on enrollment, and a variety of brochures, manuals and handbooks.

The Publications subgroup of the Office of the Registrar consists primarily of statistical summaries and reports in addition to several brochures, newsletters, and instructional manuals (the latter of which were intended to help faculty and staff understand and provide assistance with the registration process). Categories of statistics include degrees conferred, student retention rates, measures of the student body's diversity, student grades, and enrollment figures by various categories including minority group, graduates by campus, degree level, field of specialization, and credit hours and undergraduate grade point averages. Diversity statistics include a number of reports from the 1970s and 1980s produced by the Office of Affirmative Action with assistance from the Office of the Registrar. Enrollment statistics include the Report of the Registrar of the University and the Term Enrollment and Credit Hour Report. Other significant records include reports on fees and fee regulations.

The Time Schedule, which has been published several different names, documents the courses offered by the University of Michigan each academic year. Print versions of the Time Schedule have also been cataloged under call number 0393 Bimu B5 2. These publications include the Time Schedule (1928-1995), the Schedule of Courses (1995-2002) and the Schedule of Classes (2003-2004). In the Winter Term of 2004, the Office of the Registrar launched a digital-only version of the Schedule of Classes that is available in the Bentley Library digital repository and accessible via links in the online version of this finding aid.

The subgroup also contains technical documentation of the Computer Registration Involving Student Participation (CRISP) system from the 1970s as well as development guidelines and end user documentation of the Academic Record online computerized database from the 1990s.

The Office of University Audits University of Michigan Organizational Charts record group contains comprehensive sets of organizational charts on paper (FY 1970 -- FY 2003) and digitally (FY 1997 -- FY 2013) as well as a few scattered additional organizational charts including the Business Office (1918), the University (1933), the University Library (1968), and the College of Literature Science and the Arts (early 1970's).

The Office of University Audits University of Michigan Organizational Charts record group contains comprehensive sets of organizational charts on paper (FY 1970 -- FY 2003) and digitally (FY 1997 -- FY 2013) as well as a few scattered additional charts including the Business Office (1918), the University (1933), the University Library (1968), the College of Literature Science and the Arts (early 1970's).

Beginning in FY 1970 the organizational charts were updated annually as part of the Standard Practice Guide. (or SPG. See the Office of University Audits records finding aid for more information.) They provide a snapshot of the University's structure at particular moments in time. Regent's proceedings and University human resource records provide authoritative evidence of when particular people filled specific roles, or when those roles were created.

The digital files consist of PDF files, ordered by year and then by the unit identification number of the unit represented. To find the unit identification number, researchers should consult the accompanying table of contents files or review the current version of the organizational chart online at http://spg.umich.edu/org-charts/organizational-structure (2013). This website is also captured periodically as part of the University Web Archives since September 2012 and archived versions may be viewed by accessing https://archive-it.org/organizations/934.

Michigan chapter of the national Older Women's league organization, founded in 1982 by Janet Good, with goal of improving the lives of older women by means of political advocacy. Records include correspondence, minutes and videotapes on history and goals of OWL, also includes some records of Farmington Hills chapter.

This collection primarily documents the history and activities of the Michigan state OWL organization (OWL Michigan) and the local chapter in Farmington Hills. The OWL records consist of four series, OWL Michigan, Farmington Hills Chapter, Royal Oak Chapter, and Videocassettes. Most of the records are self-explanatory.
