Scope and Content:: Group photograph of participants to the Second International Congress of Eugenics held at the American Museum of Natural History, Sept. 22-28, 1921.
Biographical / Historical:: The Second International Congress of Eugenics: A Conference on the Results of Research in Race Improvement, originally scheduled for 1915, was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City from September 22-28, 1921. Officers of the congress were: Alexander Graham Bell, Honorary President; Henry Fairfield Osborn, President; Mrs. C. Neville Rolfe, Honorary Secretary; Madison Grant, Treasurer; C.C. Little, Secretary-General. Delegates came to the Conference from North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, although the majority of papers presented were from American eugenicists due to the disruption caused by World War I.
