The collection consists of digital photographs from the Ann Arbor, Michigan, Women's March.

Biographical / Historical:

On January 21, 2017, approximately eleven thousand people participated in the Women's March of Ann Arbor, Michigan. This protest march was one of hundreds of similar events occurring across the world on January 21-22, 2017. While the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump spurred the formation of this worldwide movement, marchers also marched in support of women's rights, the rights of LGBTQIA+ people, reproductive rights, gender and racial equality, the environment, and tolerance, among others. Speakers at the Ann Arbor march included United States Representative Debbie Dingell; Michigan State Representative Donna Lasinski; Cindy Estrada, United Auto Workers (UAW) vice president; and Michelle Deatrick, American politician, activist, and poet.
