Scope and Content:: The Florence Howlett photograph collection includes a photo of Howlett's home in Chelsea, and photos of individuals involved in celebration of Chelsea's 125th anniversary in 1959.
Biographical / Historical:: Florence Naomi Howlett (Bachman) was born in New York on June 18, 1867 to James Augustus Bachman and Jenette Elizabeth Bachman (Kime). She lived and worked as a school teacher in Chelsea, Michigan for 30 years, and was married to George Austin Howlett. Florence Howlett died in 1964.
