The Department of Psychiatry records contains manuscript and digital materials related to the Raymond W. Waggoner Lectureship events, and Department publications.

The Raymond W. Waggoner Lectures series (1.5 linear feet and 47 GB, 1996-2013) contains informational materials, transcripts and video recordings for the Raymond W. Waggoner Lectureship on Ethics and Values in Medicine since its establishment in 1996. Digital video and transcripts can be accessed through links in this finding aid.

The Publications series (0.5 linear feet, 1959 -- 2006) contains unit publications such as annual reports for the late 1980s, informational brochures, bulletins and information on residency programs. Additional materials include information on the Albert J. Silverman Research Conference and a guide to scientific publications produced by the department faculty.

Teaching and research unit of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts of the University of Michigan. Records include administrative files, committee minutes, reports, some course material and a topical file which contains some information on student antiwar activities, 1966-1967. Also several photos of the psychology laboratories, 1903-1915.

The records of the University of Michigan Department of Psychology document the department from its beginnings, through a period of rapid growth after World War II, to its present standing as a diverse and well established division of the University of Michigan. The first accession of materials from the department was received in 1990 and consisted of about 5 linear inches. Four linear feet of materials have now been added forming one integrated run of records.

The materials are arranged into nine series: History, Administrative Committees, Budget, Course Materials, Sub-disciplines, Topical Administrative Files, Faculty, Students, and publications.

Contains a history of the Dept. of Radiology entitled The Distinguished History of Radiology at the University of Michigan on the Occasion of the Celebration of the Discovery of X-Rays and newsletters such as The Roentgen Review. Also includes brochures from the Breast Cancer Research Detection Center.

The Department of Radiology Publications are divided into two series: Unit Publications, Sub-Unit Publications, and Topical Publications.

The Unit Publications series contains a history of the department written in 1995 by William Martel on the occasion of the centennial of the discovery of the X-ray. Also included are issues from two Department newsletters: The Roentgen Review and Radiology Information System Update. They were both published in the mid-1980's.

The Sub-Unit Publications series contains a brochure from the Breast Cancer Detection Center detailing the procedure for a visit to the Center.

The Topical Publications series contains a 1968 brochure describing some of the breakthroughs in research in radiology.

The records of the University of Michigan Department of Recreational Sports document the administration of the program, construction and management of facilities, and the results of intramural sports competitions. The records are arranged in four sub-groups: Historical File, Administrative Records, Competition Results and Scrapbooks. The records include minutes, correspondence and reports of departmental and university-wide committees as well as the Big Ten Recreational Sports Director's Association, a topical file, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings on department activities. Printed material from the department is described in a separate finding aid.

Records of the University of Michigan Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. The collection contains administrative and topical files of the Department, records of associated student organizations, photographs, and audio material. Of particular note is the extensive run of photographs (1908-1955) of photographs of the Cercle Français' annual French-language play.

The records of the Department of 77Romance Language provide some documentation of the administration of the department and several student organizations including Sigma Delta Pi, the Sociedad Hispanica and the Cercle Français. This record group is divided into five series: Department Administration, Faculty Information, Student Organizations, Topical, and Audio-Visual.

This collection contains administrative materials such as meeting minutes, departmental program information, correspondence and personnel files. A large bulk of the collection is dedicated to the numerous external and internal reviews of the department from 1975 to 1994. The collection also includes publications and publicity, as well as personal correspondence, and details relating to a visit by Joseph Brodsky.

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures collection dates from 1966 to 1999, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1968 to 1994. The material in the collection came in one accession, and its original order was maintained as much as possible. Materials are grouped by the following series: Administrative, Miscellaneous and Publications and Publicity. Within these series, the original order was retained.

Consists of annual reports; budget files; executive committee minutes as well as records of other department committees and meetings; course evaluations; correspondence files; files relating to the establishment, dissolution, and evaluations of programs; faculty evaluations; photographs; and topical files.

The Department of Sociology records document the administrative history of the department and include annual reports, budgets, committee and departmental meeting minutes, correspondence, course evaluations, photographs, publications, and topical files. Records prior to 1950 and research records of individual faculty members are not well represented. The annual reports and the committee records—particularly the records of the Executive Committee—provide significant information regarding the development of the department.

Scrapbooks, 1928-1972, of programs, publicity, and newspaper clippings compiled by the directors and staff of various University theatrical productions; history of University play production, 1909-1956; and departmental correspondence and miscellanea.

Records of the Department of Speech include 31 linear feet of material and 6 oversize scrapbooks, dating from 1928 to 1982. Virtually all of the records relate directly to the department's work in theater education. Included are extensive records of university theatrical productions (1938-1972); records of the University Players, a student organization dedicated to presenting live theater on campus; and general information regarding theater in Ann Arbor. Actual department records make up a small minority of the documentation found within the collection, although some information regarding a 1972 unit review and the decisions leading to the 1979 reorganization of the department are included. Photographs include images of plays and actors in various University theatrical productions.
