Imam Mohamad Jawad Chirri was the director of the Islamic Center of America and the writer of many renowned works on Islam. The collection consists primarily of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorandums, board minutes, writing drafts, publications and newsletters related to Chirri and the Islamic Center of America.

The Imam Mohamad Jawad Chirri Papers document the cleric's religious, leadership, and scholarly activities as well as the inner workings of the Islamic Center during Chirri's tenure and after his death. The collection consists primarily of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorandums, board minutes, writing drafts, publications and newsletters.
